There are three sets of marks on the inside: a Canadian Broad Arrow insignia stamped in black ink on the vertical support patch on the left side

Because of their use of the death’s head symbol on their headgear and flags

on loop for suspension from period original blue-white-red ribbon

with some loss of finish evident

Footnote: The Battalion was raised in the counties of Durham, Ontario and Pontiac, Quebec with mobilization headquarters at Kingston, Ontario under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed September 27, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel R. W. Smart
